⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ A Truly Genuine Person Who Went Above and Beyond Linda
I honestly feel so lucky to have come across such a genuine and caring person Linda at Powerhouse Batteries.
I first rang because I needed a powerful battery for my diesel 4WD. I explained that I was getting tired of having to use a smart charger every time I stopped the vehicle just to get it started again.
From that very first phone call, I knew I was speaking to someone who really knew her stuff. I don’t have a lot of knowledge about batteries, but Linda took the time to explain everything to me in detail.
Every question I asked, Linda patiently answered and made sure I understood what she was explaining. Linda never rushed me and made what could have been a confusing situation much easier to understand.
Linda offered for me to bring the vehicle in so she could test the battery and see what was actually happening before deciding buying a battery.
That showed me Linda genuinely cared about finding the right answer.
I returned the next day, not realising how late it had become. Linda was already closing up and moving her vehicle into the warehouse, but instead of simply saying, “Sorry, we’re closed, come back another day,” Linda stopped what she was doing and took the time to help me.
That moment really showed me the type of person Linda is.
When Linda opened the bonnet, she immediately noticed there was no battery clamp fitted. She explained how important it was for the battery to be properly secured because a battery moving around while the vehicle is being driven is dangerous.
Linda then tested the battery and found the CCA was far too low the battery had completely failed and was no longer reliable.
I explained that I was going to fit the new battery myself because I needed to drive to Darlington now, which was around an hour away, and I didn’t want to risk getting stuck.
That was when Linda went above and beyond.
Linda immediately got her tools, fitted the new battery and installed the correct clamps, making sure everything was secure and safe before I left.
What touched me most was that Linda treated me like a person, not just someone buying a battery.
Linda had never met me before, yet from the very first phone call she showed patience, kindness empathy and genuine care.
Even when she could have easily finished for the day, she chose to help me and make sure I was looked after.
That type of old-fashioned service is so rare these days someone who listens, explains things properly, shares their knowledge and genuinely cares about helping people.
I went in to check a battery, but I walked away feeling grateful that I had met someone who truly cared.
And after everything Linda did, she also gave me an excellent price, i got to say its was way cheaper then Supercheap and Repco. which was just another example of how fair and genuine Linda was.
Thank you so much Linda for your time, your patience, your knowledge and for going that extra mile for me to be safe. It truly meant a lot.
